Fun Times
Last night I went to Smith’s to see Nathan Angelo’s show. He put on a really great show – definitely worth the wait. By that I mean he didn’t go on until almost midnight. The guy that played before him, PJ Morton, was pretty good too. I’m not a music critic so all I can say is that I had a great time. But there were two very very random things that happened last night so I thought I would share.
First, the band that played before PJ Morton was pretty funny/silly, and I’ll leave it at that. At one point one of the guitar players played his guitar with his face. I about died, I was laughing so hard. I’m not sure if he was playing it with his nose, his mouth or what because there was a guitar in his face – seriously.
Second, while PJ Morton was playing I stepped downstairs and went outside for a minute to cool off. While I was out there a guy came out there and we talked for a few minutes – just your average, “wow I can’t believe the weather is so nice, blah blah blah” Anyways a few minutes later, he reached into his pocket to get his phone out and wait for it… a bullet fell out and rolled over to my feet. No Joke. So I picked it up and said, “oh this is an interesting one, what kind of gun is it for…. Really, cool, can I see it” JUST KIDDING, I did what most people in this situation would probably do. I politely ignored it, told him to have a good night and then went back inside and upstairs (in about 15 seconds) and hoped that our conversation was nice enough that he wouldn’t shoot me if something were to happen. I know that’s probably pretty bratty, but well, that’s honestly what I thought so…
