Pandora – a friend or foe…
So, I get that Mother’s Day is coming up. I get that if a Web site is going to be free, that it’s going to need to have advertising. I understand that there are probably a lot more people that need to buy presents than not. All that being said, I’m getting really tired of the ad for Mother’s Day flowers that keeps popping up today on Pandora. I’m just trying to enjoy some music, but everytime I look to see a song title, I am forced to look at the huge ad off to the side, mocking me. I’m torn between turning it off and dealing with it, but what gets me is I can’t even close the ad so it will switch to another one. There really should be a button – maybe something along the lines of “Please close this ad, it’s going to make me cry” or even just the standard “X” would suffice…

I don’t want you to cry, but your post made me laugh simply for your “Please close this ad, it’s going to make me cry” comment.

Oh yeah, and my favorite was an e-mail from the American Cancer Society asking me to donate and they’ll send a card to mom for Mother’s Day…
